Ingredients
6 cups popped popcorn
1 cup white chocolate melting chips
1 tsp vegetable oil
1 cup red velvet cake crumbs (see note)
Directions
- Place popcorn in a large bowl. Melt white chocolate in the microwave. Stir in the vegetable oil until smooth. Pour over the popcorn. Use a silicone spatula to stir and coat the popcorn. Sprinkle the cake crumbs over the top. Use your hands to distribute the crumbs throughout the popcorn. Spread the popcorn onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Let set for 20 to 30 minutes before serving.
Note: Use red velvet cupcakes from the bakery to make cake crumbs, or bake a red velvet cake according to package instructions. Three cupcakes (frosting removed) or 1/4 cake equals 1 cup of crumbs. Use a food processor for best results.
